<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="background:aqua;mso-highlight:aqua">To reiterate from the first session email:</span> Four of our students and two of our faculty members (D’jsha, Jalecia, Monique, and Obed, along with Dr. C and Dr. Smith) have offered their
time and experiences to hold an open dialogue to include Q&As and discussions about race, differences, and perspectives. As a white woman of privilege, I acknowledge that discussions about race and racism are difficult and uncomfortable-as they should be-but
absolutely necessary to create change. We hope people see this as an opportunity to learn, grow, and gain awareness in this space in our personal lives and practice as PTs.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Our hope is that this will be an ongoing occurrence that will progress and expand to include other social justice issues, not those surrounding race alone. For several reasons, we have decided to open this opportunity to only students for
our first session. In the future, we hope for these sessions to be on campus, in-person, and open to students, faculty, and others within our department and/or college.<o:p></o:p></p>
