Good morning,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying time in clinic. We are starting to see mid-term CPI data roll in, and you seem to be performing very well. Great job, you are in the home stretch now!

There has been a lot of talk about our reaccreditation process or CAPTE visit over the last year, here is an update on the process. Our CAPTE self-study report (think of a large group project that details everything we do) was submitted to CAPTE this summer and is currently under review by the accreditation team. This team of three reviewers will scour the self-study report and numerous supplementary files prior to beginning the actual site visit. Normally the site visit takes place over 4 days on campus with various meetings and interviews (including university administration, employers, graduates, CIs, faculty, and of course students). Our site visit will be held virtually (Oct 24-27) instead of in-person due to APTA restrictions on travel during the pandemic.

We are currently in the final stages of preparation for the site-visit so now it is time for us to solidify the schedule for the site reviewers. I am asking for volunteers from your class to speak with the CAPTE reviewers as a small group (10 members of your class) via virtual conference on Sunday, October 24, from 5-6pm. It is essentially a discussion about your experience at Campbell - they want your perspective. Please send me an email if you would be willing to help.

After the site visit there is a series of reports and communication that occurs between the program and CAPTE (including a brief on-site supplementary visit) prior to the official determination on reaccreditation which will occur in the Spring. I will provide more updates along the process just to keep you informed.

If you would like to have a meeting to discuss the reaccreditation or other things, please reach out and we can schedule a virtual meeting for the class or individually as needed.

Have a great weekend!
