You are receiving this email because you are on track to graduate. Receipt of this email does not necessarily mean a student is eligible for December graduation. This email is for notification and informational purposes only.
We are writing to inform you of the events and activities regarding the December 2021 Graduation Date & Commencement Ceremony, which will be on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Once final details of the December Ceremony are solidified, we will post them to the website and email them to the students who have applied.
The Application for Graduation Starts the Process:
To ensure that you are processed, and your diploma is available for pick up or mailing by the graduation day, you must apply before October 22, 2021 (See below for application instructions). We must have an application on file for every candidate who plans to graduate on December 18, 2021, no later than November 22, 2021

The Application for Graduation is the "key" that initiates your graduation process:
1. Adds your name to the candidate list-
2. Assures the Registrar's Office or the appropriate Graduate or Professional School performs a final audit of your record to certify your graduation-
3. Assures the Registrar's Office has the most recent address, email, and contact information should we need to reach you quickly--
4. Assures that you receive information pertinent to the graduation activities as they become available or should changes occur-
5. Assures that once your degree has been certified that your transcripts are properly annotated with your graduation information including any honor you may have received plus your rank in class (for undergraduates).
How to Apply:
The application process is completely online for all applicants. For the application form you will need the following:

  *   Campbell University Issued Student ID
  *   Degree you are pursuing
  *   Major you are pursuing
  *   Home Campus Location
  *   Contact information you can be reached at including phone, email, and mailing address
*Students participating in Dual Degrees such as MBA/BBA, PharmD/MBA, BA/BBA, PharmD/MSCR, etc. will need to file 2 graduation applications, one for each degree.*

** Please note if you were previously approved to participate for any ceremony under the '6-Hour Rule', you must reapply to be considered for official graduation in December**

The "Six-hour" Rule:
Special consideration to participate in the graduation ceremony is extended to candidates with grade point averages of 2.000 or higher in the major and overall GPA and who are within six (6) semester hours of meeting all course and hour requirements. To qualify for this special consideration, candidates must complete a graduation application first and then file a 'Request to Participate in Commencement' form in addition to the Graduation Application. Before the Registrar's Office can execute this form, it must be signed by the candidate, the candidate's adviser, and the appropriate dean. The form also includes information about the candidate's plan to complete the missing components.
Additional dates to mark your calendars:

  *   September 21: December graduation cycle opens by 12pm.
  *   October 22: Initial application deadline, all applications after this date will be considered LATE.
  *   November 22: FINAL deadline to apply to be eligible for December Graduation
  *   December 1: All external transcripts, course substitution forms, waivers etc. must be submitted to the Registrar's Office by this date for processing.
  *   December 18: Graduation Date and Ceremony for December. Once logistics for the ceremony are solidified students who have submitted a graduation application will be notified via their Campbell email and posted to the website.
  *   December 22: Transcripts will be ready to send
